Wild Tropics

MARKHAM X FEDISA | 2017 | 2ND YEAR

Stars

Markham in collaboration with Fedisa presented the 2nd years students with a group project that would allow them the opportunity to create a range according to a theme developed by Markham. This project would also allow the groups the winning group with an opportunity to win a prize as well as an internship at TFG, under Markham.

Working together as a group with the given theme of Wild Tropics, we created a vibrant menswear collection that was also gender fluid in many ways such as the color scheme and design elements. The part that I had contributed for this project was compiling all the information tasked to each individual and creating the work book. Through this project, I had the privilege to explore menswear as well as utilitarian elements of a garment e.g. creating a jacket that would be able to reverse. This was also a time when I experimented with digital art, print making and learning about styling and a fashion shoot as we had also needed to capture our garments.

The below work are a couple of pages from the workbook. The program that was mainly used was Photoshop, however, for technical drawings, Illustrator was used. The workbook was compiled into an A3 flip file and each of the garments were hand crafted from start of patterns to the end of garment construction.
