PERSONAL ADVENTURES
DANCING INTO THE UNKNOWN IN THE PURSUIT OF FAITH, HOPE, AND ULTIMATELY, LOVE

"But suddenly, I saw. I saw the purple shadow beneath the egg. I saw the pink light from the sun outside the window. I even saw the little yellow moon of light reflected on the top of the egg. I had finally begun to see."
The All American Girl—Meg Cabot
I remember reading this little excerpt from the book and getting hooked on the thought of being able to 'see more'. An egg is not just a white egg, but it is an array of different colors reflecting its surroundings. In the past few years, it has been such a privilege to explore the things that I could not previously see; action things that seemed out of grasp; pour out in a way that my heart to head could not have imagined before. The treasures of this journey are the personal works you will see in this section—works that I believe reflect the joy I have now as a creator. In these, I give thanks to God, who gets all the glory. He is the joy of my salvation, and I trust that as you view the works, you will see growth and maturity, passion and zeal, and a desire to share the treasures I have found.
"The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me, because the LORD has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn; to grant to those who mourn in Zion—to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning,
the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he may be glorified. They shall build up the ancient ruins; they shall raise up the former devastations; they shall repair the ruined cities, the devastations of many generations."
Isaiah 61:1-4 (ESV)
